The Nonstop Summer Party thrown by Matt Ezzo and the guys from Nonstop to Cairo was held at Revolution in Amityville on Saturday, August 23. This was the 3rd installment of the Nonstop Party series – each one has featured a pretty standard lineup of bands like Oogee Wawa, The Warden & FAME and of course, Nonstop to Cairo – mixed in with some new bands (new to me anyway) like Number F and Dune Local. It’s great because you get to see the bands you know while getting introduced to some new music and people as well. Plus there’s always some awesome collaborations and guest appearances.
Here’s a photo recap of the night:
Jake Furia and the Be-Yourselves
Opening the show was Jake Furia and his backing band “The Be-Yourselves”. It was great to hear some of his new songs – the upcoming LP is going to be awesome. You can check out all the pics from Jake’s set here.
These guys were a lot of fun to watch – glad I got a chance to see them play and meet some of the band. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this group. You can check out all the pics from their set here.
Dune Local opened their set with a cover of Bulls On Parade – so I fell in love with them immediately. I had heard of these guys, but never got to see them play before, they put on a great show. I’ll be giving their music a closer listen in the next few weeks! Check out all the pics from their set here.
The Warden & FAME
A Nonstop Party wouldn’t be complete without The Warden & FAME – the new lineup is finally solidified and we’re looking for more good things from them in the future. You can check out all of the pics from their set here.
Another band I’ve heard a lot about but never got to see live is Groundswell so I was glad to see they were part of the lineup. Another great set and they brought August from Nonstop to Cairo out for a little collab which was cool. You can check out all the pics from their set here.
Whiskey Reverb came down from Buffalo to hang out and play a set – they’re a pretty eclectic cast of characters with an entertaining show, a lot of fun to photograph. You can check out all the pics from their set here.
Nonstop to Cairo
Nonstop to Cairo did their thing with a typical high-energy performance – was awesome to have our boy August reppin the Stay Loose Snapback. In typical Nonstop Party fashion, they brought out a bunch of guest performers including Ant Matos from Loose Camp. You can check out all the pics from their set here.
Unfortunately I had to miss the Oogee Wawa set, but I’m sure the fellas killed it. To check out all the pics from the night, visit the Nonstop Summer Party Collection on my Flickr page.
Thanks for reading, and a special thanks to everyone who stopped by the #stayloose table to say what’s up!
